Doggie Doo Adventures - Allows a Dog to be a Dog

Is your dog stuck in the house all day, or worse....in the doghouse? Does your dog think that your house is one big chew toy? Then it's time to get your dog out of the doghouse and out into nature with our Doggie Doo Adventure Program.

Our program is based around the South Mountain Corridor (Laveen; South Phoenix; Ahwatukee) and offers the following:

  • Doggie Hikes (South Mountain)
  • Dog Park & Lake Excursions
  • Field Trips to Flagstaff, Payson, & Sedona
Our program fee includes free transportation to and from our adventure, filtered water for the dogs, towel service at the end (to make sure no muddy paws enter your home).

Teri Ann is a certified Emergency Animal Medical Technician I (EAMT I); a Certified Pet Tech Instructor (Pet CPR, First Aid & Pet Care Classes); and a Wilderness First Responder (WFR). She has worked with animals for over 25 years and believes that every dog deserves to be a dog.

Doggie Doo Adventures

In October of 2010, Comfy Pets of AZ launched a new program, "Doggie Doo Adventures." This program is designed to get your dog out of the doghouse and out into nature. Our adventures include doggie hikes in South Mountain, dog walking at Alvord Lake in Laveen, and RJ Dog Park in Ahwatukee. Our clients live around the South Mountain corridor and include Laveen, South Phoenix, and Ahwatukee.
We also offer ½ to all day field trips to Flagstaff, Sedona, and Cosmo Dog Park in Gilbert numerous times throughout the year. Some of our doggie clients recently went on a snow day in Flagstaff (see our Doggie Doo Adventures Newsletter for the full story) and had a blast.

Doggie Doo Adventures run 1.5 to 2.5 hours (not including field trips) excluding transportation time at no extra cost to the client. We come to your house, Monday through Friday, while you are at work and pick up your dog(s). We have a limit of four dogs per adventure and require all dogs to be up-to-date on vaccinations and provide Comfy Pets of AZ a copy of the Rabies Vaccination that will be kept on file.

Doggie Doo Adventures begin early during the summer months due to the intense heat and normally we only offer one Doggie Doo Adventure each day. However, this does not include our four-hour field trip to Cosmo Dog Park in Gilbert, which runs four hours. Cosmo Dog Park offers a full dog park with an agility course and a full lake for the dogs to swim and splash around in.

Whenever possible, pictures are taken during an adventure and po
sted on our Comfy Pets of AZ Fan Page on Facebook. Not a fan yet? Find us by doing a search on “Comfy Pets of AZ”. Each client and an adventure has it’s own photo album. New pictures are being added every day.

Doggie Doo Adventures recently had a photo shoot in South
Mountain by Everado Keeme Photography. The 3-Amigos (Willa, Tank & Coco) were the star subjects and Everado and his wife, Mary, did an excellent job in getting the dogs attention. Our photo shoot started at 5:30 am so we could hike up to the ridge before sunrise, and what a beautiful sunrise it was with downtown Phoenix in the background. We could not have asked for a more perfect day for the shoot. We have posted quite a few pictures from the photo shoot on our fan page as well. We can’t thank Everado and Mary enough for their patience with the dogs and his way with photographs. For more information on Everado Keeme Photography, click on the following link:
